Access and inclusion
We are proudly an accessible and inclusive workplace working to remove barriers for people with disability. We care about creating an inclusive environment where people can fully participate in the opportunities we have to offer.
Our approach is simple, to respect and acknowledge a person’s unique talents and contributions before their disability.

We offer people with a disability tailored support and reasonable adjustments to easily access information, facilities and services in the workplace. Specifically, our Access and Inclusion Plan provides the framework for us to identify access and inclusion barriers and implement strategies to overcome them.
We know that barriers to access and inclusion are not exclusive to people with disability, they can also extend to:
- English as a second language
- living in rural or remote areas
- low literacy
- low socioeconomic status
- age
- discrimination in relation to gender, race and culture.

How we champion access & inclusion
We are an accredited disability-confident employer. We're working to ensure recruiters and hiring managers can support disability employment and create an environment where our employees with disability can feel comfortable sharing their disability and needs with us.
Our access and inclusion initiatives include:
- online and in-person disability awareness training for all employees
- an active, executive-sponsored, cross-organisational working group (Disability and Access Working Group) to advocate and build greater inclusion
- regular accessibility audits and improvements to our offices and depot facilities
- employment programs to engage and employ people with disability into meaningful roles.
Our partnerships and collaborations
We are working with:
- Work Focus – regularly audit our recruitment process to remove barriers for people with disability
- Edge Disability Employment Services – connect employment opportunities with people with disability. We are proud to have employed people with disability into traineeships and permanent employment
- National Disability Services WA - to develop recruitment and employment strategies for people with disability.
What are ‘reasonable adjustments’?
Candidates and employees can request workplace adjustments during our recruitment process and in employment. Adjustments may be administrative, environmental or procedural changes that enable a person with disability to perform their duties safely. Some examples of reasonable adjustments include:
- providing adjustment to the recruitment process to reduce barriers in the selection process
- offering additional training, mentoring, supervision and essential information in suitable formats
- modifying the workplace or supplying specialised equipment, furniture or work aids where possible
- offering flexible work arrangements
- providing alterations to workplaces, premises or work areas.
