New Water Corporation Board Chair appointed
- Mr Ross Love appointed as new chair of Water Corporation Board
- Strong high-level leadership skills will help guide the Water Corporation as it deals with the challenges of climate change
Water Minister Dave Kelly has welcomed Ross Love as the new chair of the Water Corporation's Board.
Mr Love has a background in management having spent 25 years in leadership roles with Boston Consulting Group in Australia and New York. Mr Love is also currently Chair of Fremantle Ports and Board member of the Western Australian Regional Development Trust.
Mr Love's experience bridges both corporate and government sectors, including airlines and airports, commuter rail, retail and resources.
The Water Corporation's Board, in consultation with management, sets its strategic direction and ensures rigorous corporate governance standards are met.
Board members are appointed by the Governor of Western Australia, on the nomination of the Water Minister.
Mr Love's appointment as chair of the Water Corporation board was effective from September 22, 2020 for a term until December 31, 2022.
David Lock, who has been a Board member since 2014 and Acting Chair since January this year, will remain on the Board as Deputy Chair.
