UPDATE: Burst Water Main – Wanneroo Road, Wangara

Water Corporation advises repairs to a damaged water main in Wangara are now complete and Wanneroo Road has reopened to traffic.
We apologise to those impacted, and thank the community and commuters for their patience while emergency repair works were carried out.
Water Corporation encourages the community to call 13 13 75 when they see a suspected burst water main.

Water Corporation crews are continuing repairs to a damaged water main on the corner of Wanneroo Road and Lancaster Road in Wangara.
Water has been restored to nearby businesses and northbound lanes of Wanneroo Road have reopened.
Southbound lanes should reopen early this evening once repair and reinstatement work is complete. The cause of the breakage is under investigation.
Water Corporation again apologises to nearby businesses impacted. While such incidents are rare, our crews work to carry out repairs in the safest and most timely manner possible.
We would also like to thank crews from Main Roads, Western Power and ATCO Gas for their coordinated response.
Motorists in the area are asked to please use caution and to continue to follow all road signage.

Water Corporation crews are responding to a burst on the corner of Wanneroo Road and Lancaster Road in Wangara.
Wanneroo Road between Whitfords Avenue and Prindiville Drive is currently closed in both directions, with traffic management and detours in place.
Motorists in the area are asked to please use caution and to follow all road signage. Motorists may also need to allow for extra travel time on their morning commute.
Crews are working to identify the cause of the burst, and to determine a timeframe for reopening the road.
While incidents of this nature are rare, we understand they can be inconvenient. Water Corporation apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks the community for their patience while repairs are carried out.
