Read moreThe Cook Government is investing in the future reliability of Western Australia's water and wastewater networks with a $79.9 million investment to be funded in the 2024-25 State Budget.
A $37 million Western Australian Government project to support growth in Perth's northern suburbs by providing reliable wastewater and drainage services has been completed.
Free waterwise showerheads and rainwater tank rebates are still available across 21 Great Southern towns, with residents being encouraged to take advantage of offers while stocks last.
More than 1,300 local jobs, including for Western Australian apprentices and trainees, will be created and supported under a new major contract to design, build and operate Perth's next large-scale seawater desalination plant.
Future upgrades to the Goldfields and Agricultural Water Supply Scheme (GAWSS) are being prioritised with the Cook Government investing $15 million to help support long-term economic development in the Goldfields and Wheatbelt.
