Sewer conversions
Converting from septic to sewer? Here you will find information about applying for a sewer conversion.
To connect your property to our wastewater system you need to engage a licensed plumber. You will also need to contact your local government's environmental health section before converting from a septic tank to a wastewater connection. They will advise if you need to decommission your old septic tank and the associated requirements.
How to apply
Your plumber can apply to connect to our main sewer via BuilderNet by selecting 'Lodge a sewer conversion application'.
Plumbers wanting to connect to our wastewater system must also submit the necessary documentation to the Plumbers Licensing Board prior to carrying out the work.
On completion of the work, your plumber will be required to submit a 'Plumbing diagram' to the Building Commission.
How much will it cost?
The sewer connection fee can be found on our sewer service fees page.
Should your property not have a sewer junction to connect to, you may be required to pay for a new sewer junction to be cut in. Wastewater infrastructure contributions may also be payable. For further information contact us.
