That’s why we're offering Perth and Peel customers who purchase an eligible waterwise irrigation product and/or service a rebate of up to $200. If you’re eligible, we will credit the rebate to your Water Corporation account. It’s that easy!

What does the offer include?

  • The Waterwise Irrigation Rebate offers up to $200 towards the cost of eligible products and/or services provided by a Waterwise Garden Irrigator or Waterwise Garden Design Shop. This may include:

The purchase and set-up of an eligible: 

  • Weather-based irrigation controller, or
  • Weather-based component for an existing irrigation controller, or
  • Weather-based irrigation controller and component. For a list of eligible controllers and components, see terms and conditions below.

Hiring an eligible Waterwise Garden Irrigator to:

  • Explain your automatic irrigation controller operation, including checking that watering settings are correct and adjusting for optimal conditions.
  • Fix a leak in your irrigation system.
  • Improve your existing irrigation system for increased water efficiencies, for example replacing/fixing faulty valves, reducing overspray/adjusting coverage or replacing existing sprinklers with waterwise alternatives.

Rebate eligibility

This rebate is a limited offer and is only available on products and services purchased between 1 September 2024 and 31 May 2025. 

Rebate allocations may be exhausted before the closing date of 31 May 2025. We will advise on our website when allocations are running low.

To be eligible for this rebate you will need to: 

  • Have a property located in the Perth/Peel area. 
  • Have a Water Corporation account. 
  • Purchase/receive an eligible product or service during the offer dates. 
  • Have an existing irrigation system which has watered your garden within the last 2 years. 
  • Have purchased the product from an eligible Waterwise supplier. 
  • Have engaged a Waterwise supplier to set-up your controller.

How to apply 

  1. Find your preferred Waterwise Specialist herePlease note: As we move into the warmer months, our Waterwise Garden Irrigators are experiencing a high volume of enquiries and there may be 4-6 week wait for scheduling services.
  2. When planning your irrigation work, please make sure the irrigator is aware that you intend to claim the rebate as this will allow them to prepare a Waterwise Irrigation Rebate checklist for your submission and bring it on the day.
  3. You must be in attendance during this work to sign and receive your service checklist.
  4. Complete the registration form below. Please have the following documents ready when you apply:
    • Your paid tax invoice or receipt/s, showing the purchase of an eligible product or service as listed above.
    • Your Waterwise Irrigation Rebate checklist completed by a Waterwise Garden Irrigator confirming the work that has been undertaken to make your irrigation more efficient.
    • Your Water Corporation bill to reference your account number.
 

Please note: You will need to provide scans or photos of the receipts and checklist (both will be provided by the irrigator) with your rebate claim. The checklist must be signed by you and the irrigator.

Frequently asked questions

We are offering the Waterwise Irrigation Rebate to promote efficient irrigation practices in residential gardens. The included services for the rebate have been chosen through consultation with Irrigation Australia and experienced Waterwise specialists and are proven to save water. We contribute funding separately for other initiatives including waterwise verge conversions.  

Weather-based irrigation controllers are a new generation of smart irrigation controllers that use current weather data to adapt irrigation schedules. These controllers can adjust based on rainfall, temperature and localised weather conditions, aligning with local regulations. This can help to reduce a household’s total water use. 

No. To ensure that the eligible controller is set-up and programmed in line with the watering roster and waterwise best practices, the work must be carried out by an endorsed waterwise irrigation specialist. You will need to have proof, in the form of a paid invoice or receipt and signed checklist that a Waterwise Garden Irrigator set up your controller to be eligible for the rebate.

No. It is very easy to choose products that are not quite right for your garden or for them to be set up incorrectly. By using trained specialists we can ensure optimal water savings can be achieved.  

Rebates will be reviewed subject to the terms and conditions of the program. If your rebate is approved, you will receive a credit (up to $200) to your Water Corporation bill account. In exceptional circumstances we may consider alternative arrangements and you must request this by emailing rebates@watercorporation.com.au. Approved rebates will be processed within eight weeks of the application date. 

You will receive an email from us advising that your rebate has been successful. Your rebate will then be credited to your account. Please note that your bill does not specifically reference the Waterwise Irrigation Rebate. We will contact you in writing to discuss any concerns regarding the rebate.

No. You can only claim once per property per program year.  

Yes, as long as the owner of the property hasn’t already applied for a rebate. Please note, that this rebate will be paid to the owner's account, as Water Corporation accounts do not distinguish between owner and tenant accounts – therefore we recommend speaking to the owner to ensure an agreement before proceeding.

Yes, you can claim a rebate for up to three properties to ensure a fair distribution of rebates.

Where one account number covers the entire building, only one claim per strata complex will be accepted.

Applications for the Waterwise Irrigation Rebate open on 1 September 2024. The program closes on 31 May 2025 or earlier if all allocations are exhausted.
